Krka national park is second most popular national park in Croatia and covers 109 square kilometers along the river Krka. The top attraction of the Park are its magnificent waterfalls, including the famous Skradinski Buk , one of the largest travertine waterfall in Europe and Croatia’s most famous sights.
After we start the tour from are meeting point in Split, we are on our way to Krka National park in air-conditioned mini-van or bus.
After 1 hour and 30 minutes long drive we arrive to Krka National Park. First place we visit is Skradin, one of the oldest towns on the Croatian side of the Adriatic, where we take the 30-minutes boat ride to Skradinski buk and back.
Skradinski buk creates most travertine cascades, islands and lakes and it is the last of seven waterfalls on the Krka River. There is over 17 steps of Skradinski buk, spread over 800 meters in length, while the height difference reaches over 45 meters. At the bottom of the waterfall is a lake where during the warmer part of the year a lot of visitors enjoy swimming in a beautiful clear water.
In this tour you will see traces of human creation since prehistoric times, cultural and historical monuments such a authentically restored ensemble of stone small houses, workshops, exhibits and watermills.
